PyPortal includes: speaker, light sensor, temperature sensor, NeoPixel, microSD card slot, 8MB flash, plug-in ports for I2C and 2 analog/digital pins, 3D files for custom enclosures / lanyard fastening. PyPortal has a 2.4″ diagonal 320 x 240 color TFT with resistive touch screen. The PyPortal uses an ATMEL (Microchip) ATSAMD51J20, and an Espressif ESP32 Wi-Fi coprocessor with TLS/SSL support built-in. Rotate it 90 degrees, it’s a web-connected conference badge #badgelife. Create little pocket universes of joy that connect to something good. Make custom touch screen interface GUIs, all open-source, and Python-powered using tinyJSON / APIs to get news, stock, weather, cat photos, and more – all over Wi-Fi with the latest technologies. The PyPortal Pynt is the little sister to Adafruit's popular PyPortal - zapped with a shink ray to take the design from a 3.2" diagonal down to 2.4" diagonal screen - but otherwise the same! The PyPortal is our easy-to-use IoT device that allows you to create all the things for the “Internet of Things” in minutes. SparkFun Micro Magnetometer - MMC5983MA (Qwiic) Price: $27.02 SparkFun Micro 6DoF IMU - ISM330DHCX (Qwiic) Price: $53.75 But the good thing with little bugs is they’re quite easy to put away – handy for when there’s only five or ten minutes available.Įither way, 0.7 may take some time I prefer big chunks to little bits (who doesn’t?!)….PiicoDev OLED Display Module (128圆4) SSD1306 Price: $12.25 The work for 0.7 mainly consists of lots of little bits and pieces along with circa 20 bugs that have been noted. Now to find out if it’s stable and onto the marathon slog that is version 0.7. In this case that feature took three attempts to get right – the engineering was pretty trivial (it normally is when you’re working with your own code) but the integration and UI was ‘tricky’ – not totally happy with it even now, but it’s a lot better than the first effort ? There’s an old adage in software: ‘Always throw your first attempt away’. It was one of those fun things to do, but it was a feature that was difficult to UI. The 0.6 development was for just one feature that can be summed up in a few words, but brings good flexibility. wind we got this morning! £560 worth of damage right there say’s our builder. (And whilst you’re on that page, check-out the 64 M.P.H. If Wunderground stops updating you know we’ll be back in 0.6 land tomorrow. Need to monitor it for a bit – it could be really unstable. That didn’t take as long as it should have! Just put what is hoped to be the last 0.6 build on-line. We tend to go for on-time and high quality every time.Īnd That’s The End Of The 0.6 Development! On-time, high quality and all planned features – pick any two. I’ll have to cut some of them out of this release and move them to v1.1 or later. Looking through the 0.7 todo list here I can see 39 items I thought it was about 20 ?

On the plus side, a lot of these are trivial in terms of coding, but the testing can take an order of magnitude longer and it’s not until the end of January I’ll know if the monthly report gets emailed out for real. I have no idea why it isn’t emailed out – what was I thinking? It would have been much easier to do it when the feature went in instead of leaving it to a later phase the report is saved at the end of the month, but there’s no message sent to get it emailed out – d’oh! Aarrggh I’ve left too many small things to do! I should have done some of these already – this is stuff like being able to set the CWOP ID or mailing out the monthly report.
